How to Care for Your Shirts
Wash less (wut?!) Shirts aren’t crime scenes—unless you spilled something obvious, they can survive a couple of wears before the washing machine attacks. If people around you can still stand the odor, you’re still good!
Don’t dry clean too much. Skip unnecessary dry-cleaning—it uses harsh chemicals that harms these beautiful shirts!
Use mesh laundry bags. Toss your delicate shirts into a mesh laundry bag before washing—they survive the tumble, keep their shape, and live to see another wear.
(Mildy) Rage against the machine! Washing machines are nice and all, but you have to be careful when loading your laundry. Don’t overload and wash cold. And since we’re on the subject of washing, lessen your detergents. Not only do they harm your shirts, they’re also not too great for the environment.
Turn ’em inside out! Turn your shirts inside out before washing. This helps the prevent the prints from cracking. Your dark colored shirts will thank you for this.
Up the irons! Or in this case, lower the settings—too-hot settings can shrink or burn your clothes. Shake your shirts before hanging and give them space, and iron lightly inside-out to protect prints.
