Why an octopus?

Ever feel like life just keeps throwing stuff at you, and you’re supposed to handle it all without breaking? That’s basically the octopus. Eight arms, all doing their own thing, none of them asking for permission, somehow managing to keep it together. It’s not showing off, it’s just… working. You see a lot of creatures flail around, but the octopus? Calm, clever, doing its thing, and somehow making it look effortless.

And sure, it’s a little weird. Tentacles everywhere, ink squirting when things get messy, escaping situations you’d think were impossible. But isn’t that a little comforting? Life is messy, things go sideways, and the best you can do is keep reaching, stretching, adapting—and maybe leave a little chaos behind you for fun. The octopus doesn’t worry about being perfect. It just survives. Cleverly. Quietly. Surprisingly.

So maybe that’s why it resonates. Because when you’re juggling deadlines, ideas, responsibilities, and everything in between, you’re basically an octopus too. Stoic under pressure, figuring it out as you go, and somehow keeping all your arms in the game. It’s not about being flashy—it’s about being flexible, smart, and just a little unpredictable. And honestly? That’s kind of a relief.
